Engine: V8 5.4 liter Supercharged 500 hp

2007 Ford Shelby GT500 was known as the most powerful Mustangs up to date. This is a new muscle sports car. It features a 500 horsepower and 5.4 liter supercharged V-8 and that makes the power a classic Shelby. The 5.4-liter, 32-valve V-8 engine has been the result of Ford´s years of tinkering with modular engines.

The Ford made sure that a mixture of air and fuel will be forced-fed into the engine via a “Roots-type” supercharger producing and that’s how the engine performs. In order for the Ford Shelby GT500 handle the power, this sports car used a cast iron engine block divertrain, reminiscent of the old Ford GT design. The foundation for the 2007 sports car GT500 was just an old program aluminum, four-valve cylinder heads, piston rings and bearings system. It features a 6 speed manual gearbox that equips the new Shelby. The heavy duty transmission has been made to withstand both road and track conditions.

Shelby GT500 roars because of the V8 engine and you can imagine how it sounds. If the sounds are destructive, the outside of GT500 is almost as sinister because it has similarities of the Mustang Cobra that has a ominous front end design, the upper and lower fascia openings and that functional air splitter. You can notice to the GT500 that there’s the presence of an upper intake which made the Cobra logo float off-center and this logo takes the place of the traditional galloping pony that can be found in the center of the older Mustangs. Shelby GT500 also has a head extractors sticking our near the leading edge of the hood and this is not just to make the look EVIL but to provide the airflow of the engine and create the perfect aerodynamics.

If you have a chance to look at the interior of the new GT500 racing car there will be a chance that you will be surprised because it has leather everywhere and that’s the first thing that you will see. You will find out that the Mustang’s molded plastic surface is covered by uninterrupted layer of stitched black hide. And also the trimmings that are found in the door panels covered with leather as well and so the steering wheel, the shifter, the parking brake handle, the dash top, and even the console are all covered by no less the genuine hide. But the most different in the GT500 that you will be surprise is that the usage of matte-aluminum finish on the shift knob, steering wheel spokes, and instrument rings, and vent registers. And these all parts are made of shiny bright metal decor.
